Jim Nellis has more than 30 years of financial services experience working in various aspects of retail and commercial banking, strategic planning, technology and business alignment, contingency and disaster recovery planning, back-office operations, process reengineering and project management, internal audit management and accounting and treasury management.
Prior to joining ADS, Jim was CIO of a Midwest bank holding company and was responsible for the operations and technology divisions. Jim chaired the Technology Steering Committee, reorganized the operating division and managed the company out of an M.O.U. Jim developed the corporation’s first comprehensive long-term technology plan, directed the consolidation of all banking operations and managed the transition to an integrated core processing system that yielded a 183% improvement in productivity and reduced operating expenses 20%.
During his tenure Jim was asked to conduct a training seminar for the O.C.C. in system selection processes and internal controls in centralized processing environments. Prior to that Jim served as Vice President, Regional Chief Auditor of Mellon Bank following a career in public accounting where Jim was a partner in a regional CPA firm.
He holds a Bachelors degree in Business Administration from the Clarion University of Pennsylvania and obtained certifications as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and Charted Bank Auditor. Jim was President of the Northwest Pennsylvania Institute of Management Accountants. He resides in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
